Program Assistant/Floater

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position’s general responsibilities include working in the classroom as an assistant, assisting management in recordkeeping & tracking of services, serving as bus monitor; and as needed in other areas. Floater/Program Assistant will work under the director, management, and teachers to assist in providing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: CDA or plan for completion of CDA within 180 days; or other early childhood related credentials
- Good health status as documented by a physical examination.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to provide evidence of freedom from TB.
- Ability to supervise outdoor play in all weather conditions in which children will play outdoors consistent with outdoor policy.
- Ability to move quickly from one area of classroom or playground to another
- Ability to quickly move from sitting to standing and from standing to sitting.
- Ability to position oneself to be face to face to a standing child.
- Ability to sit in a
child size chair. - Must have experience working with children with Special Needs, preferred
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory OSBI background check.
- Maintenance of a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Skills: Experience in child care program accredited by the National Association for the
- Education of Young Children.
- Requirements: Must possess documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility, pass a drug screening test, and complete OSBI & fingerprint background investigation. English language necessary and Kickapoo language is a plus.
